TOWN OF GRAND RAPIDS BUILDING INSPECTION SERVICES

The Town of Grand Rapids (“Town”) is seeking proposals for building inspection services for our community including but not limited to plan review, inquiry response, residential and commercial inspections, assisting with updating the comprehensive plan, and occasional meeting attendance when requested.   The contract is anticipated to commence January 1, 2019. 

The Town is populated with approximately 7748 persons. Its geographical territory is approximately 20 square miles situated east of the City of Wisconsin Rapids. The Town is governed by a five (5) member Town Board elected at large.  The Town of Grand Rapids is committed to an objective and open selection process.  Every proposal shall receive an unbiased review.

SEEKING PROPOSALS FOR TOWN ASSESSOR

The Town of Fremont, Clark County, is accepting proposals for a Town Assessor for 2019 and beyond.

We have an estimated population of 1,268 with an assessed value of $1,000,000.000+ in 2018.  Total parcel count is 1823, improvement count is 481.

Proposals will include maintaining the assessment roll and individual property classifications within 10% of equalized value, Open Book and Board of Review, and future revaluation. 

The proposal will include having all data in electronic form as required by the State of Wisconsin.

The Village of Waunakee (13,535) is currently recruiting for a Village Clerk, a senior member of the Village’s management team.  This individual will work collaboratively with Village elected officials, appointed officials, staff, and the community to continue the success and growth the Village has experienced. 

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in the operation of municipal government including agenda and meeting preparation and recording of official minutes, the performance and oversight of operational activities and administrative duties related to managing the department budget as well as office practices, systems, and policies, election administration as required by law, among other responsibilities.

Part-Time Public Works-Laborer-Parks Department

The Town of Grand Chute is seeking applicants for a part-time Laborer for the Park Department. The successful applicant will perform general labor tasks in the maintenance of town parks. Normal duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: mowing grass and weeds, maintenance of park facilities, winter maintenance of park facilities, opening and cleaning of town park buildings, maintenance of park equipment, sports field and court marking.

Minimum qualifications: Prior responsible work experience in the area of park maintenance and forestry preferred.   Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license and reliable transportation, a commercial driver's license is desirable.  Wage starting at $15.34 hour. This is a non-represented, non-benefitted position, limited to approximately 1199 hours annually. Superintendent of Public Works Town of Pleasant Springs, WI

The Town of Pleasant Springs has an immediate opening and is accepting applications for the position of Superintendent of Public Works. Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in a supervisory level position in a related field. Applicant must have a valid Driver's License along with a CDL. This is a full-time position with health insurance, retirement, life insurance and disability insurance. Benefits are through the Depmiment of Employee Trust Funds.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: supervision, administrative and professional work in planning, budgeting, organization and directing the operations of the town and employees within the department. Position requires the Superintendent to be able to work along with the employees as assigned to complete the day to day operations of the department. This is a working position with expectations of administrative office work along with operations in the field as required. The applicant requires the knowledge of administrative project planning, development, implementation, and tracking of budgets, documentation of maintenance requirements, operations and safety procedures to effectively manage and operate the Public Works Department.

This position requires an employee that is self-motivated with good communication skills, ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, use a high degree of independent judgement with the ability to make appropriate decisions regarding priorities of the department and its operations.

This position is on call 24 hours/day for snow removal and emergency responses. The position requires attendance at daytime and / or evening meetings as necessary to support departmental activities. Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds as necessary and maintain a valid Driver License and CDL.

The hourly wage for this position is $ 27.00 to $ 30.00 dependent upon qualifications, knowledge and experience, with an opportunity available for merit pay.
