State Contracts Available to Local Governments
Jim Langdon, Deputy Administrator, DOA Division of Enterprise Operations

The State of Wisconsin has negotiated scores of supplies and services contracts that are available to local governments. These contracts typically feature wide product selections, competitive pricing, warranties, fast delivery and satisfaction guarantees.

Many of the State’s contracts may be useful to local governments recovering from natural disasters including recent flooding and wind damage. These contracts are available to any municipality including a county, city, village, town, school district, sewer district, drainage district, technical college district or any other public body with the authority to award public contracts. However, state contracts may not be used for purchases by or on behalf of individuals or businesses.

A complete list of contracts available to municipal governments can be found on the Department of Administration web site. Contracts available to municipalities have a “CP,” or cooperative purchasing, designation following the contract name. The following list provides just a sample of the contracts that may be useful in storm damage recovery efforts:

In addition, the State Bureau of Procurement has designated a procurement professional to help connect municipal government buyers with State vendors. If you have difficulty using State contracts on-line, please contact:

The State of Wisconsin welcomes county and municipal governments as purchasers from state contracts. We hope you find these resources useful.
