September 2008 Mailbox -- Climate Change

There is no shortage of information about global climate change on federal, state, university and other website. A few places to get started include:

·       In April, 2007 Governor Doyle signed  Executive Order 191 creating the Task Force on Global Warming. After examining the effects of, and solutions to, global warming in Wisconsin, the Task Force issued its  Report on Global Warming

·       EPA's Climate Change Site offers links to an array of climate-related resources from federal agencies and elsewhere

·       The  US National Assessment of the Potential Consequences of Climate Variability and Change Educational Resources Regional Paper: Great Lakes includes historical and projected regional climate change data

·       The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has offered informative background stories on the topic, with a Wisconsin focus, including A change in climate: Global warming in Wisconsin, By Lee Bergquist and Thomas Content, in, March 24, 2007
